Approaching the Czech border

13:32 We are riding mostly uphill, but with a tailwind and no rain. My gloves are nearly dry, I have a new saddle, because Szoki brought his own from home and now he mounted the cargo bike’s saddle on the Birdy. Brown coal mines and ‘Glückauf’ signs are left behind, enter Polish language signposts and little roadside chapels. After another supermarket lunch and a chat with a friendly but slightly tipsy German guy, we crossed Bautzen, the last major German town before the border.

17:22 We have crossed the border.
