Our story
Szoki and Andris worked together at an IT company, and soon found out that they both commute by bike, all year round. After a few trips together and many evenings spent repairing bikes, Szoki came to the idea of buying a cargo bike. But since cargo bkes are rare in Hungary, he planned to fetch one straight from Copenhagen. Andris was ready to join the adventure. As planning progressed, this seemed more and more like a crazy idea – which led to the plan to build an awareness-raising charity project on it. Andris once visited Arló (on a bike trip, of course), and heard of the transport difficulties of the locals, which defined the focus of the project. Now we have found the right time slot between family and work commitments, and have bought our train tickets all the way to Hamburg. Yes, we are travelling by train to avoid the pollution and noise footprint of flying. We are knee-deep in preparations, collecting gear, and renovating a folding bike for the trip, which starts on the 18th of February
